A picturesque, tree-lined historic neighborhood

Welcome to Rio Vista

The historic neighborhood of Rio Vista is located just south of downtown Fort Lauderdale. Fully-grown trees line the streets and sidewalks of this magnificent community with exceptional architecture. Dating back to the 1920s, Rio Vista is among the oldest Fort Lauderdale neighborhoods, with about 1,000 single-family homes.

Rio Vista, Spanish for “river view,” has many waterfront properties along the open water canals, with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean. There are also a few houses inland, away from the waters. Many waterfront homes have about 90 feet of boat dockage, with a few corner lots providing up to 300 feet of boat dockage.

Fort Lauderdale beach is easily accessible from the south of Rio Vista via 17th Street or the north via Las Olas Boulevard. Fort Lauderdale International Airport is only a short drive south on US-1, making it a prominent neighborhood for air travelers and jet setters.
